Our retrofit service to extend the life of welding and gluing plants

Industry is now thinking outside the box. Instead of always using production plants for only one product generation - which was normal in the automotive sector until recently - more and more companies are traveling new paths: They work across several production generations with one and the same production plant. But that is only possible if within a short time the plant is completely overhauled, maintained and if necessary even rebuilt. And that is exactly what we take care of with our retrofit service.

Everything from one, single source: Retrofitting included

Designing, fabricating and the onsite commissioning of welding guns and plants: that is what we have always offered from one, single source. Now we have expanded our product range even further. We get your guns and plants into shape again for the next joining challenge after having been used for one product generation. Retrofit is what we call this service that simply offers you more:

  • Expertise for the refurbishment of guns:
    We know the welding guns that we manufactured for you down to the last bolt. And since we also feel at home in all customer-specific standards, when necessary we can also undertake design adaptations.
  • Short service times thanks to our own fabrication:
    If welding guns or plants need to be altered, we can quickly manufacture the necessary parts ourselves or we may even have them in stock.
  • Tested quality and performance:
    Every gun and every plant that leaves our premises is exactly tested beforehand - independent of whether they are newly manufactured or have been made fit for new jobs.
  • The specialist in all customer standards:
    We guarantee first-class retrofit service for every automobile manufacturer. After all, we are the only provider in the world that has been released by all premium manufacturers to meet customer-specific standards for welding guns.

Overhaul

Your machine perfectly overhauled

During the overhaul, we analyze any possible weak points and check the functional performance. The goal is to increase the product service life and to support you during corrective maintenance.

Refurbishment in six steps

1. Cleaning

  • Cleaning of the surfaces
  • Cleaning of the contact faces

2. Incoming inspection

  • Visual inspection and/or check on the testbench
  • Ascertained defects are reported

3. Wearing/spare parts

  • Preventative replacement of wearing parts (as per quotation or negotiation)

4. Measure/check

  • Standard: Insulation, signal, welding current, leakproofness, Tool Center Point
  • Option: Welding force, cooling water throughput volume, parameter sets
  • Comprehensive check of comparative to new robot welding gun

5. Warranty

  • Expanded warranty possible

6. Documentation

  • Complete documentation of comparatively new robot welding guns

Reuse

Technically up-to-date – perfectly equipped for the future

Our reuse service ensures that your reworked plant corresponds to the safety regulations and is compatible with all current technical systems. That is also to ensure that the spare parts supply works smoothly today and tomorrow.

Retooling

Ready for new jobs – great for highly-dynamic robots

If completely new welding jobs need to be performed with existing guns, retooling is usually the best choice. We correspondingly retrofit your guns, namely so that they are also ready for use on highly-dynamic robots of the latest generation. Retooling instead of new purchases - this strategy has the advantage that your employees do not need to be retrained and is also convincing from the aspect of sustainability.
